For more than a decade I have been curating and collecting Murano glass, and I have always been fascinated by the craftsmanship behind the beautiful glass sculptures. One of the very first objects that found its way into my collection was a 1970s Murano Sommerso vase in a faceted shape and different shades. Since that day I have been captivated by the unique characteristics of each and every Murano glass - from the swirly mushroom lamps to the beautiful mussel bowls.
I have a special fondness for the imaginative and playful designs and even here many years later, I get excited when I stand with them in my hands. It is the perfect combination of aesthetics, craftsmanship and function.
